Malcolm Patterson
Head Grower and Workforce Programs Educator, Urban Farm
Malcolm Patterson is Head Grower and Workforce Programs Educator for the Chicago Lights Urban Farm. He ensures the health and quality of plants as they are seeded, watered, transplanted, and delivered to the community and local partners. Malcolm works with volunteers and teens in the high school job-training program, Farm Corps, while also running the on-site Farmstand. He has been with Chicago Lights for seven years since first starting in the high school workforce program. Malcolm grew up in the Cabrini-Green neighborhood and has always loved farming, growing plants, and learning new things about urban agriculture.
