La Rita Chatman
Program Manager, Social Service Center
La Rita Regina Chatman is Program Manager for Chicago Lights Social Service Center. She is a dedicated community service professional with a diverse background in workforce development, education, career coaching, training, and community engagement.
She holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management and Development from National Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Chicago State University, and her professional experience has included supporting individuals in overcoming barriers to employment, preparing students for academic and personal success, developing workforce programs, building community and employer partnerships, and facilitating training and professional development.
As Program Manager for Chicago Lights Social Service Center, La Rita oversees volunteer engagement and operations, including the recruitment, training, coordination, support and overall experience of volunteers who help advance the Center’s mission and services. Throughout her professional and volunteer journey, she has maintained a deep love for serving the community and believes that meaningful relationships, compassion, and service can create opportunities for individuals and communities to thrive.
