Debra Evans is Associate Director for Chicago Lights Tutoring and Summer Day and is an advocate for education equity. Debra ensures the success of Chicago Lights literacy Initiatives and Reading Clinic programming for kindergarten through eighth-grade youth. Debra’s prior experiences include teacher, Reading Specialist, Area Reading Coach, and most recently, a Common Core State Standards Professional Development Provider. She has a BA in elementary education and English from Texas Tech University and an MA in reading from Southern Methodist University – University of Texas at Arlington cohort.
